She worked at the GHI in the summer of 2015 and contributed to the Immigrant Entrepreneurship project by writing biographies for volume five.

- Teaser<p>Eric Schmaltz is Associate Professor of History at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, where he is also the Co-Executive Director of the Institute for Citizenship Studies. He has a Ph.D. in history from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Much of his research focuses on ethnic Germans in Russia and the former Soviet Union. He is editor of <em>Heritage Review</em>, which is published by the Germans from Russia Heritage Society (GRHS).</p> <p> </p>

- Page Description<p>Isabelle Schmitz was an intern at the GHI from November 2013 to January 2014. She completed her Master's of Education at the University of Münster in 2013. She is currently working on her Ph.D. at the Institute for the Didactics of History at the University of Münster.
