Sandra Rebok

Sandra Rebok works for the Spanish National Research Council and is currently a Marie Curie Fellow at the Huntington Library in California (2013-2015). Her research and publications focus on Alexander von Humboldt, the history of science, Atlantic history, voyages of exploration, and German-Spanish and German-American scientific collaborations during the nineteenth century. She analyzes the networks of knowledge Humboldt established within the United States and his impact on the development of sciences in the U.S. Rebok has recently published a book on the relationship and intellectual exchange between Humboldt and Thomas Jefferson (University of Virginia Press, 2014). She has also curated several exhibitions in the field of the history of science.
