Anheuser-Busch eagle logo

The introduction, in 1872, of the Anheuser-Busch eagle logo, an intertwined A and eagle, helped the company create a corporate and brand identity. Over the years, there have been many interpretations of the “A and Eagle” logo, but according to a 1954 company account by Eberhard Anheuser, chairman of the board and grandson of the original partner in the firm, the “A” in the corporate emblem represents Anheuser, and the eagle “symbolizes Adolphus Busch, whose vision knew no horizon!” The logo was formally trademarked in 1877. It remains a cornerstone of Anheuser-Busch advertising to this day.
