Potthast Bros. Interior, 1907

In 1907, Potthast Bros. participated in the Jamestown Exhibition in Norfolk, Virginia, a world’s fair celebrating the three-hundredth anniversary of the founding of Jamestown. The firm lent approximately eighty pieces of furniture to the exhibition’s Maryland House. This photograph shows a complete Potthast Bros. interior in the Maryland House. The firm’s prominent role in the exhibition further enhanced its already excellent reputation.
