Panoramic View of the “Weave Shed” at White Oak Mills, ca. 1941

Published in a book commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of Cone Export and Commission Co., this interior shot of the “weave shed” at White Oaks Mills conveys the vastness of that facility. According to the caption, the weave shed was “the largest room of denim looms in the world.” Apparently, the photographer took the picture from the middle of the room, not near one of its walls, so the picture only captured half of that space.
