Los Angeles Home of Isaias and Esther Hellman, ca. 1880

In 1876, Isaias and Esther Hellman built a thirteen-room mansion on the corner of 4th and Main Streets, in one of Los Angeles’s best neighborhoods. This engraving of their home, which was praised as one of the most magnificent in Southern California, was published in 1880.
