Lester Friedman’s Successor Store, 1941

Immediately after the closure of the Golden Eagle in 1937, Guldman’s son-in-law Lester Friedman opened another store on the same site. The venture was relatively short-lived, however, and Friedman declared bankruptcy in 1941. This photograph shows Friedman’s going-out-of-business sale.
