Henry Griesedieck, Jr., Portrait

Portrait of Henry Griesedieck, Jr., Joseph Griesedieck’s older brother. Henry was also active in the St. Louis brewing industry. In 1891, Joseph, Henry, Jr., and a third brother, Bernard, established their own brewery, the National Brewery Company. Joseph served as superintendent, Bernard as secretary, and Henry, Jr., as president. Henry Jr. also served as president of the Independent Brewing Companies (IBC), a consortium of numerous city brewers.
