Flat Top Manor, contemporary photograph

Flat Top Manor, Moses and Bertha Cone’s country estate, is located in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, about 120 miles due west of Greensboro. Constructed between 1899 and 1901, the twenty-three room mansion is situated on 3,600 acres of carefully landscaped grounds. Flat Top Manor is currently owned and administered by the National Park Service.
