Anheuser-Busch brew house interior in St. Louis, 1933

A vintage postcard showing the interior of the central portion of the Anheuser-Busch brew house in St. Louis, 1933. Large brew kettles line the floor of the first level; tanks occupy the second level. A hop vine chandelier hangs from the ceiling. The interior opulence of the brew house partially belied its industrial purposes and conveyed a grandiose impression of importance and authority.
