Over the years, Alf developed a reputation as the family historian and raconteur. In 1900, he published a colorful family history, Life Story of the Ringling Brothers, in which this photograph appeared. From: Alfred Ringling, Life Story of the Ringling Brothers. Chicago, IL: R.R.
