Polynesia Line

Polynesia Line. This photograph illustrates the changes in container ship technologies during the late twentieth century.  Note how the cranes are fitted on the ship’s mainframe.  Later, cranes would be fitted onto the loading docks, eliminating the need for building them onto the ship itself, making it easier and safer to adjust the balance of a ship’s cargo.
