This map shows Washington, D.C. in 1889, just before Heurich built his new home near Dupont Circle and a new brewery along the southwest waterfront. Dupont Circle is visible in the upper right (#32) and the brewery was built in the area due west of #13. (the Naval Observatory at its earlier location).
