Levi Strauss & Co. salesman’s flyer with an early example of the “Two Horse” trademark
Salesman’s flyer with an early example of the “Two Horse” trademark, ca. 1887. The Two Horse was first used on pants and in advertising in 1886. It was a graphic representation of the strength of the pants, as well as an image easily associated with the products for those who did not speak English as their first language, or who were illiterate.
