Jacob Schiff, letter to Charles Eliot, president of Harvard University, March 14, 1917. In this letter to his friend Charles Eliot, Schiff took issue with comments Eliot had made about international Jewish banking ties. The letter, dated one month before America's entry into World War I, also expressed Schiff's dismay about the sinking of the Lusitania and other aggressive acts by the German government.
