Brewery workers strike in Saint Louis

The June 1881 newspaper article discusses a strike inaugurated by brewery workers in St. Louis. The works demanded shorter working hours and a $5-per-month increase in salary. The strikers visited every major brewery in the city in order to offer employers a chance to agree to their terms but all refused.
