Advertisement for Rodinal

1893

German and German-American firms were key players in the photographic chemicals trade in late nineteenth-century America. Rodinal, a photographic chemical developed by the Aktiengesellschaft für Anilin Produktion in Berlin (Agfa), was imported to the United States by Arthur Schwarz, a German-American entrepreneur. Mallinckrodt Chemical Works was the sole trade agent of Rodinal in the United States.

This Rodinal advertisement was published in the American Annual of Photography 7 (1893), p. 22.
