Letter to Customer Etta Cone (1914)

In 1914, the Potthast brothers corresponded with Baltimore socialite and art collector Etta Cone about pieces she had purchased for her sister-in-law, Mrs. Ceasar Cone. The Cones were members of the Baltimore elite, and they were precisely the type of customers – e.g. wealthy and cultured – that the Potthasts cultivated as their reputation for fine furniture grew.
