The five partners in the Ringling Bros. Circus (1905)

The Ringling brothers’ advertising posters often featured the five partners’ profiles. The posters conveyed a sense of family unity, arguably in the extreme, for it was difficult to distinguish the five, dark-haired, bushy-browed, mustachioed brothers. The remaining brothers, Gus and Henry, worked for the circus but were not part of the original five-way partnership.
