Margrit Schulte Beerbühl, Ph.D. is a professor in the Department of Historical Studies II (Modern History) at the Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf. She has published widely in the fields of eighteenth-century British social and economic history, Anglo-German relations and migration, merchant networks, and the history of consumption. Recent publication include: The Forgotten Majority: German Merchants in London, Naturalization and Global Trade (1660-1815) (Oxford: Berghahn, 2015).
